October Writing Update
So a lot has happened these past few months . . .
Let’s start with a happy note! I’ve finished a new short story! This is the illustration for “Look to the Wildflowers” . It’s a cute and fun story that deals with grief and looking for hope. I’m thinking about adding some of my short stories to my website! Eventually when I gather enough short stories I’m going to publish an anthology based on seasons and topics and the like.
On a lesser note: In June I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Let me just say that that makes a lot of sense. I’ve dealt with chronic pain for . . . So long. I don’t remember a time I didn’t have it. I’ll go into more details over in my blog but suffice to say, it’s been a trial and a struggle lately.
My doctor tossed me onto some hefty detoxing amongst other things and I was down for the count for all of July and most of August. I’m now off the heavy stuff and am getting back into the swing of things!
I wrote my newest short story the last few days of August—God really helped me there!—and then didn’t write at all for about a month :/.
But this month I’ve really picked up my writing habit again! So far I’m sitting on about 10k words and the month isn’t over yet. Here’s hoping that November’s update will be full of happy notes and full of progress in my WIPS!
‘Till next we meet.
