Life Update

Hello there! It’s been a while . . .

2021 really came and hit my family in the face *grins sheepishly*. I should explain. Early January I got sick. A nasty icky sickness that lasted about 4 weeks in total. Just as I was getting better WAM my dad got sick. And then my mom! It wasn’t until the beginning of March that our household was able to exist properly and now I’m thankful that it’s over and we are healthy once more! . . . Well that was until allergies popped up but that isn’t really a sickness *laughs nervously while staring at the mountain of used tissues*

As many of you may know, my laptop—my trusty sidekick—failed me last year. It was a bitter and brutal battle to prolong it’s life and in the end we failed. So on the hunt for a replacement I went! It took a while to narrow down what I wanted vs what I needed vs what was realistic. In the end through much prayer and parents who bless me beyond measure, I was gifted an Ipad just a few weeks ago. I purchased all the accessories myself but my parents were the ones who bestowed this wonderful piece of technology upon me and I’m so excited to write and art on this bad boy. (Side note: who names their technology with references to their obsessions?? My old laptop was called The Wardrobe a Narnia reference.) I’ll do a separate post on my setup for anyone interested in that.

The puppers are doing well! We have to keep them separated for a little longer as we both have to build them a new pen/kennel and weather Heidi’s second heat. Other than that these two are so loving and can be so so gentle. Heidi is still in her teenage phase where she is learning not to jump on me all the time. Finn though loves to ‘hug’ me by placing his head on my shoulder and stay there for a while. Heidi meanwhile is like: “Hey! HI! Can we PLAY?!”

We have kittens! They’ve just recently opened their eyes and they are oh so cute. Pictures coming in a later post. There are FIVE kittens in this litter and mama cat Kit-Kat is so proud and slightly exhausted :D.

My mom and my nephew Liam.

Now that we are feeling better we’ve been able to attend church a few times and get together with family!! We celebrate birthdays together and there were a few to catch up on. My nephew is turning five this year so we will hold on to the four year old snuggles the best we can until later this year!

We’ve been sitting outside and reading more this year! <3

I’ve learned or relearned something about my writing this year. I HAVE to read books in order to write well and smoothly. To output I need input. And that is that. Some of the books I’ve read this year are: The If I Run series by Terri Blackstock. The Dark Archive by Genevieve Cogman. Fullmetal Alchemist. And much more. I’ve also been ingesting movies and television. I forced my family (Parents and younger older brother) to watch Avatar the Last Airbender this past month. My Dad loved certain aspects and my mom said it was okay. Sean (younger older brother) loved rewatching it. My third time through and I still love a certain characters redemption arc. ;)

Well that’s a good sized life update from me! If you would like to hear/read a writing update, head on over to my website Tiffanymichele.com and check that out :).

Till next we meet~ Tiffany Michele
