Christmas is coming~
The goose is getting fat~ Please put a penny in the old man’s hat.
If you haven’t got a penny, a hay penny will do~
If you haven’t got a hay penny then God bless you!
God bless you! Gooooood blessssss youuuuu! God bless you!
This little song is one of my fondest memories. I learned it when I was very young and I and my brothers would randomly sing it whenever Christmas started to roll around the corner.
It’s a never ending song that just gets stuck in your head. Whenever I see a Santa outside of Walmart ringing the bell for donations, the song pops back into my head and I smile.
This year we weren’t able to do one of our biggest traditions, see Christmas lights.
Mom and I got sick and we didn’t want to give it to my eldest brothers family and risk them sick on Christmas. So hopefully we will go see lights after Christmas while they’re still up! —we prefer to walk through lights than to drive past them . . . I really don’t like driving through to see lights. I feel so disconnected and it’s not enjoyable to me.—
We have other traditions such as: advent, Christmas movies galore, baking, etc. Then of course there is the Eve and Day traditions that my family has. But that’s for another day I believe.
I’m prepping hard for the festivities and my diy gifts are almost done! I just have to utilize my circuit machine for about a dozen of them and then I’m done! . . . Well I have three that aren’t Cricut projects that I’m working on but they’ll be finished soon. They have to be considering Eve is in four days!!
How’s your last minute Christmas prep going? What are some Christmas traditions you hold dear?
Till next we meet.
Tiffany Michele~
Seeing that song made me laugh! We’ve been randomly singing that around my house as well, and/or telling others to leave the poor goose alone. :joy: I love all this! What Christmas movies do you like?
Lol that’s so funny! I’m glad it made you laugh . Oh wow ummmmm some of our favorites are: Trading Christmas, Signed Sealed Delivered Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year, Christmas Card, Boyfriend for Christmas, Elf, and Santa Clause 2 to name some we have to watch before the season ends every year .
