It’s afternoon now on this the last day of the year. This has been a trying and informative one.
So many things happened this year! I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I figured out the next arc of my main work in progress(WIP), and I discovered a love for embroidery!
I also bought a Cricut for my Etsy shop—which I’ll be reopening very soon!— and got my laptop replaced by an IPad that allows me mobility and comfort. It also allows me to use Procreate and I love it desperately.
This year brought a ton of health challenges but also a ton of moments that I wouldn’t trade for the world. We found a new church that we are sticking with and they are sticking with us . . . My oldest friend got married this year and now lives close by!
I met so many wonderful ladies this year during the many Kings daughters writing camps and my older friendships grew stronger.
Today after a late dinner we on the Hilltop—my mom, dad, brother Sean, and myself—will be heading over to my Aunt Tra’s house to ring in the new year.
Snacks and games and laughter abound in my future.
All the while today I’ve been in a world of pain. Sleep still isn’t my friend. My back is tight and achy and my brain is foggy. Today my words come out so many times in a stutter and the words I want to say slip past my mind is a irritating manner.
But God gives me strength and He’s given me the command to do all I can to get well. To be healthy. So I exercised and rested and did my chores and took my pills. And then I took an extra long hot shower and resisted the urge to sit in the shower.—did that once and yeah I don’t recommend—
I hope that you are well and I hope that your celebrations today and tomorrow are blessed. May you have more fun and joy than pain.
‘Till next we meet.
