I’ve been bullet journaling for over 4 years now and I’ve learned a lot and I’ve learned how I like to bullet journal. But honestly I’m still figuring out which pages I use and which I don’t.
Like do I really need a page that is dedicated to only movie recommendations? Answer: No! I needed to combine my movie and book recommendations pages together to save room.
Do I need dedicated pages to jot down research notes? Why yes. Yes I do!
These are the things you learn over years of filling up a bujo.
So I thought I’d share with you my February bullet journal pages! Every month I do a cover page and I try to add a quote page to the left of it.
This helps me get into the mindset for the new month and it also lets me spend some creativity which is always nice . You don’t have to do these pages, but for me they help.
Next up is my monthly meeting page! My mom and I (try) to have a meeting together at the beginning of every month where we set goals, get on the same page, figure out what went wrong/what went good last month, what we need from each other/need in general, etc.
It’s a lovely time that usually turns into a few hours long as we get off track sometimes that happens, ya know?
The next page is a page I’ve only done recently and that is a habit tracker! I have a set of month stamps that I use and every day I do the habit in question I color it in with a marker.
It’s nice to look back on the month and see the colorful days! And it helps me be aware that some of my habits still need work.
Next comes the page that I’ve floundered with in the past few years. A calendar. In the past I was very isolated. I rarely left the house and I didn’t have many friends that I could get with. So that added with depression and a chronic illness meant that I didn’t use this page enough to warrant taking the time to draw it out.
Now however I’m becoming busier as we’ve joined a church and have gotten linked in. I’ve started to grow my friend group and it’s nice! I like having my calendar in my bujo as well as the many calendars in my house. As one with ADHD, if I can’t see it-it doesn’t exist. So having my schedule blocked out in multiple areas helps me remember my appointments.
I’ve noticed that becoming busier has helped me become more productive? I think it’s because I treasure my alone time and time at home so much more now that I don’t have it constantly so I’m more apt to spend it more wisely.
The next page is a mood and spoon tracker! (Link to the spoon theory) I did a scarf mood and spoon tracker last month
Ain’t it cute? This page helps me to be mindful of my mood and to realize patterns of energy and emotion.
And yes, Red = Pain. I made Pain and Tired emotions to log. Cause honestly? Sometimes I’m so tired or so in pain that I literally can’t feel anything else.
And that is completely valid.
And finally the rest of my pages for the month will look something like this! Washi tape and stickers make up my pages for my to do lists! (Every time I complete a task I put a check mark AND I highlight with a marker. It pleases me.)
And with that-that’s it! My February bullet journal set up.
Now question time:
Do you bullet journal? Have you ever bullet journaled or are you more a planner gal?
I’d love to know!
‘till next we meet.
~Tiffany Michele.
